We are a new charter, that met for the first time in August of 2008. We've had a very exciting first year, and its getting more so with each meeting. Our theme this year was "Adventures in Mothering" using an amusement park as a logo. How fitting, using a roller coaster as a metaphore for motherhood....... it also seemed to fit our first year as a new charter.
Ups and downs, going very fast, so fast at times it makes you dizzy. Just when you think you can slow down and catch your breath, the roller coaster drops and the excitement begins again.
We saw our steering team almost double from the first semester to the second from a mere 6 to 11. Someday we'll even have committees. :)
We offer free childcare, and the opportunity for Mothers of Preschoolers to come together in Christ, socialize,play games, hear amazing speakers, do crafts, exchange ideas, learn tricks of the trade, and best of all, we have 2 hours to ourselves, and there is ALWAYS breakfast and CHOCOLATE !!
We meet twice a month on Thursday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 ish. Our amazing childcare providers nurture our children, teach them about Christ, play games and have crafts and snacks too, so all the way around, we're having fun.
We have 2 meetings left this semester May 7th and 14th (we're doing back to back meetings because of conflicts with schools ending around the week of the 22nd).
